Party Perfection: Goodnight Moon childrens party

I came across this amazing 1st birthday party through one of my go-to blogs for great real party inspiration, Party Perfect.

At first I didn't really know what or who the Goodnight Moon book was, but after a quick Wikipedia search I discovered that it is an American children's book that was written by Margaret Wise Brown and illustrated by Clement Hurd. First published in 1947, it is a highly acclaimed bedtime story. It is about a child saying goodnight to everything around: "Goodnight room. Goodnight moon. Goodnight cow jumping over the moon. Goodnight light, and the red balloon..." So sweet!

And how sweet is this party?! The colours are amazing and I think the cake is completely darling. It really makes me wish I was better at working with fondant!
