I met with Shannon and her mom what seems to be ages ago. It was over breakfast and there was ice and snow on the ground back in March. :) The ideas for her invitations have changed so many times - some ideas you'll see in the future. ;) But one thing has remained constant - the theme is Vintage New Year's Eve in Detroit. When Shannon's coordinator, Misty from Bells and Bliss, mentioned that there would be feather centerpieces and lush tableclothes, I immediately knew I wanted to use a lush, rich cardstock. I chose this ivory cardstock that feels like velvet when you touch it. Gold is another big element for the evening so I printed the invitation with gold foil. The invitation is layered with a rich and delicate linen finish gold cardstock. The invitation wording and design all center around New Year's Eve.
Another element that I wanted was a gold ticket inviting the guests to the event.
The wording is different on these as well, asking the guests to reserve their spot at the party.
The rsvp postcard ticket was also designed with matching postage stamps.
The ticket's tear off portion was designed with hotel, transportation and parking information.
The envelopes are also the lush velvety cream paper and so surprising to the touch.
New Year's Eve custom postage finished off this amazing invitation suite.
