When Kara contacted me, she knew that she wanted quirky, unexpected invitations. She asked for brown bag kraft envelopes to pair up with more formal style invitations. The mix of funky and formal was important to her. The design came from her ceremony site; The Bubble Room at Vinology. I was crazy excited about doing a bubble themed wedding invitation and Kara was all for it.
The invitations were all designed with bubbles of varying shades of champagne and blush pink.
The combination of fonts is one of my all time favorites - lower case and all upper case. The "and" between their names became their monogram as well.
All of the pieces were designed to be wrapped together by a champagne belly band.
The RSVP has the bubbles on the front and custom stamps on the back.
The main invitation is for the wedding reception. Twenty inserts were designed as the invitation to the ceremony for just a few guests, due to the size of the location.
Custom stamps were also designed for the outer envelopes.
For the wedding reception, I designed these menus printed on blush pink.
